This conference started in 2021 and has since gathered CSS professionals from all around the world with the purpose of strengthening the bonds that were previously lacking. TSgt Timothy Russell, assigned to the 25th Space Range Squadron at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado, attended the 27th Annual Conference for Administrative Excellence in November 2020. During the conference, he realized that the CSS community needed its own event to bring people together. After getting an overwhelming response to a poll he put on the 3F0 Facebook page, he devised the idea for the first CSS conference, which took place in January 2021. Presenters addressed a wide range of subjects over the course of three days, addressing them from the 3F0, 3F5, and 3F2 perspectives, respectively. More than 3,272 people attended the first event virtually, which featured daily panel discussions with MAJCOM Functionals and the 3F0 Career Field Manager, as well as panels with subject matter experts. In June 2022, the first hybrid conference, attracted over 350 people in-person and 4,573 online, broadening the CSS experience from an Airman, NCO, CGO, and UPC viewpoint while also concentrating on lessons learned, self-care, dealing with disgruntled customers, and much more. Understanding the vast experience within the CSS community, the focus areas have expanded to include Active Duty, Guard, Reserve and Civilian personnel. There is a need that shows no indications of abating within this community, and neither will our goal to inspire.
